Moscow, Russia – The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Friday that its air defense forces had repelled a large-scale aerial attack, shooting down and destroying 512 Ukrainian drones overnight. This marked one of the largest aerial attacks targeting Russian territory. Simultaneously, Russian forces launched intensive strikes targeting infrastructure and military depots deep inside Ukraine.
Widespread repression of a wave of marches in multiple provinces
In detailing the defensive operations, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that air defense systems effectively engaged and shot down Ukrainian drones over the southwestern provinces of the country. They also intercepted drones in other large areas. The list of provinces targeted included Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Vladimir, Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Oryol, Penza, Rostov, Ryazan, Saratov, Tambov, Tula, and Yaroslavl, as well as Moscow, Krasnodar Krai, Crimea, and the airspace over the Black Sea.
Missile strikes destroy Flamingo warehouses in the suburbs of Kyiv
On the offensive, the Russian armed forces continued targeting military and logistical infrastructure, power grids, and vital ports in Ukraine. The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the destruction of a large warehouse complex on the outskirts of Kyiv. This complex was used to store Flamingo missiles and rocket booster fuel. Precision missile strikes also targeted the vital port of Odessa. In addition, six major depots supplying Ukrainian forces with provisions, supplies, and fuel were destroyed. These operations are part of a series of concentrated attacks launched by Moscow against Ukrainian military-industrial complex facilities, logistics centers, and warships.
