Aden, Yemen – Based on the directives of Presidential Leadership Council member, Commander Abdulrahman Al-Mahrami (Abu Zara’a), the Southern Giants Forces implemented, on Tuesday morning, the second phase of the military redeployment and positioning plan outside the temporary capital, Aden.
Handing over sovereign tasks to national security
Redeployment to enhance stability
This step comes as part of an organizational plan aimed at assigning internal security tasks to specialized agencies and repositioning military units outside city centers. The Giants Brigades also intervened at the beginning of this month, in coordination with the Arab Coalition forces and local authorities, to enhance security and stability and protect public and private interests. Following these interventions, the Giants Brigades began today the process of handing over these tasks to the security forces. Observers believe this step reflects the Presidential Leadership Council’s commitment to regulating the military presence in Aden. It also confirms the activation of the official security agencies’ role in maintaining public order and ensuring the safety of international missions.
