Ankara, Turkey – The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the importance of achieving national unity in Syria as the only way to guarantee a secure and stable future for the country. It stressed that terrorism and division cannot form the basis for any lasting political solution. In an official statement, as reported by Turkish media, the Ministry underscored the importance of Syrian territorial integrity as a fundamental pillar for ensuring a secure and stable future for the country. Furthermore, it emphasized that terrorism and internal divisions pose a direct threat to Syrian and regional security.

The statement said that Turkey is closely monitoring developments in Syria. It also affirmed that a comprehensive political solution is the only way to restore stability. The statement stressed that any attempts to dismantle the state or exploit internal conflicts will lead to further security and humanitarian deterioration. The ministry added that Turkey supports all initiatives that promote national reconciliation and dialogue among the various Syrian parties. Furthermore, it emphasized that military solutions alone will not guarantee security and stability. The statement indicated that Turkey is working with its regional and international partners. The goal is to ensure that any sustainable political solution is inclusive and prioritizes the interests of the Syrian people. It must also be free from any external interference that could further complicate divisions. Ankara also urged the international community to exert effective pressure on terrorist groups and called for support for efforts aimed at unifying Syrian state institutions.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry affirmed that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not hesitate to play a positive and constructive role in the Syrian issue. This will be achieved through strengthening security and stability, and supporting the Syrian people in rebuilding state institutions and consolidating their national unity. The Ministry indicated that terrorist threats and internal divisions will not allow Syria’s future to be affected by these factors. It also emphasized that any attempt to weaken the state will be met with a firm political and diplomatic response. These statements come at a time when Syria is facing significant security and humanitarian challenges. In this context, Turkey continues its efforts to coordinate with the international community to promote peace and stability and counter any attempts to exploit chaos and division for the benefit of terrorism. Turkey aims to ensure a secure and stable future for the Syrian people and the entire region.
