Aden, Yemen – Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council, mourned a group of the finest soldiers of the Hadrami Elite Forces who were martyred in a treacherous ambush carried out by rebel forces in the “Ais Khard” area near the city of Al-Shihr. The martyrs were Omar Abdulrahman Al-Amoudi, Mohammed Badibian, Ahmed Barwas, Saleh Al-Muallim, and Abdulwahab Mohammed Ali Mohammed.
The Battle of Dignity and the Restoration of State Prestige
In a statement of condolence, Major General Al-Bahsani affirmed that these heroes wrote an epic of loyalty to the nation with their blood while performing their sacred duty of establishing security. They also protected public order and defended the prestige of the state and the rule of law. He pointed out that these sacrifices come within the context of an open and comprehensive battle being waged by the Hadrami Elite Forces and the Southern Forces to cleanse the land of terrorist and insurgent elements and projects of organized chaos.
A call to line up and march towards Seiyun
Al-Bahsani stressed that the blood of the martyrs places a historic responsibility on everyone to unite and stand behind the state project. He emphasized that attempts at fragmentation must be rejected, and called on all the people of Hadramawt and the South to participate widely and actively in the “Million-Man March in Sayun” taking place today.
Major General Al-Bahsani said: “This million-strong demonstration is not just an event, but a clear popular referendum and a message to the whole world that Hadhramaut knows its choice and protects its decision. It stands united with the unity and cohesion of the South in the face of anyone who tries to undermine its security or distort the will of its people.”
A message to the world
The statement concluded by affirming that the voice of Hadramawt emanating from Seiyun is “the light of the South.” This light will reach international forums, clearly declaring Hadramawt’s role in the equation of security and stability, and demonstrating its commitment to its national project.
Mercy and eternity to the righteous martyrs, a speedy recovery to the wounded, and victory and empowerment to the nation and its valiant armed forces.
