step to strengthen national air defense capabilities.”
Milley stressed that the new aircraft would give the Air Force greater operational flexibility.
He added that it reflects the government’s commitment to modernizing
military equipment after years of stagnation.
It also enhances the country’s ability to meet regional challenges.
Details of the military deal
According to the Argentine Ministry of Defense, the deal includes training
for pilots and technicians on the latest aircraft systems.
The remaining payments will be delivered successively until the required number is reached.
It was confirmed that all aircraft underwent comprehensive upgrades,
including advanced electronic equipment and modern weapons systems, before their arrival.
Milley: Developing the army is a strategic priority
Milley stated that investment in the armed forces is a fundamental element
of the country’s security and stability.
He stressed that enhancing military readiness is essential to keep pace
with global and regional developments.
The handover ceremony featured symbolic air displays of the new fighter jets.
