Tehran, Iran – Iranian authorities announced on Wednesday the execution of a person convicted of spying for Israel and providing it with information about a nuclear scientist who was assassinated during the last war between the two countries last June.
The Mizan Online website, affiliated with the Iranian judiciary, reported that the so-called Rozbeh Wadi was executed after completing the judicial procedures and the Supreme Court approved the ruling issued against him.
The website explained that Wadi was convicted of leaking intelligence information “about an Iranian nuclear scientist who was assassinated during the recent Zionist aggression”, referring to the Twelve-Day War that broke out between Iran and Israel in June 2025.
The Iranian authorities did not reveal additional details about the identity of the targeted scientist or the nature of the information that was transmitted, but the case comes in the context of escalating security tensions between Tehran and Tel Aviv, which witnessed direct and unprecedented confrontations between the two sides during the past months.
