Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday that it had summoned the Iraqi ambassador to the Kingdom, Safia Taleb al-Suhail. He also stressed the need for the Iraqi government to deal responsibly with these threats and stated that all necessary measures must be taken to stop them.
Rejection of violation of sovereignty
Saudi Arabia affirmed its categorical rejection of any violation of state sovereignty or threat to the security and stability of the region. It indicated that the attacks originating from Iraq constitute an unacceptable escalation that necessitates a firm stance.
Security measures
The Kingdom reiterated its commitment to taking all necessary measures to defend its national security and protect its territory, given the ongoing threats it faces from beyond its borders.
This move comes amid escalating regional tensions and warnings of broader security repercussions in the region.
