Tel Aviv, Israel – The Israeli newspaper Yediot Aharonot reported that political circles in Israel have expressed satisfaction with what they described as the US’s hardening stance in the ongoing negotiations. They believe this approach strengthens Washington’s negotiating position vis-à-vis Tehran.
The newspaper indicated that this Israeli position reflects a conviction within Tel Aviv’s decision-making circles. These circles believe that political and diplomatic pressure may be more effective in pushing Iran to make concessions on contentious issues, chief among them the nuclear program.
The report added that Israel is closely monitoring the course of the talks and consistently emphasizes the need to prevent Iran from achieving any nuclear advancements that it considers a direct threat to its national security.
These developments come amidst ongoing international efforts to revive the negotiating track between Washington and Tehran. Clear differences in positions among the parties involved are also evident.
