Berlin, Germany – Ukraine and Germany discussed ways to cooperate in developing laser weapons technologies, aiming to bolster air defense capabilities against growing threats, particularly drone and missile attacks.
These discussions took place during official meetings between officials from both countries. The importance of investing in advanced technology to provide faster, more accurate, and less costly defense solutions compared to traditional systems was emphasized.
Both sides noted that laser systems represent the future of air defense, given their ability to intercept targets in record time. They also contribute to reducing collateral damage, making them a strategic option in modern conflicts.
The talks also addressed opportunities for knowledge transfer and industrial cooperation between defense companies in both countries. This would accelerate the development of these systems and their integration into existing defense networks.
This initiative is part of Germany’s ongoing support for Ukraine, which faces escalating security challenges and seeks to strengthen its defense capabilities by adopting the latest military technologies.
