Gaza, Palestine – Operation Noble Knight 3 in the Gaza Strip launched the “Zayed Marathon” event with the participation of (500) competitors. As part of a series of promotional activities and tournaments it implements to support youth and athletes. After being absent from sports activities for more than two years due to difficult events in the sector.
The race started from the entrance to Al-Bureij camp all the way to Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, during which the participants covered a four-kilometre track amid an enthusiastic atmosphere. It reflected the athletes’ determination to continue sports activities despite the challenges.
The marathon witnessed the honoring of the first place winners on the podium in an encouraging step to motivate participants and support the continuation of such events.
The organization of the Zayed Marathon, whose results reflected the spirit of competition and determination among the participants, comes as part of the ongoing efforts of Operation Gallant Knight 3 to support youth and promote sports activities in the Gaza Strip. Especially in light of the difficult circumstances that the population is experiencing.
