Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Saudi Arabia and Ukraine are set to sign a new aviation security cooperation agreement on Thursday. Improving Air security is expected to be a key focus of this new partnership. The agreement will be signed during an unannounced visit by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the Kingdom, a senior official familiar with the matter told AFP.
The official explained that the anticipated signing would take place during a meeting in Jeddah. He indicated that the agreement focuses on security cooperation, particularly regarding airspace protection. This comes amidst escalating regional tensions and the ongoing war in the Middle East. The region has witnessed Iran launching missiles and drones toward Gulf states in response to the US-Israeli attack on it.
