Amman, Jordan – The Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army, in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate, revealed on Saturday the results of military and field operations in the Kingdom’s skies during the second week of the escalating confrontations in the region, confirming the success of the Royal Air Force in countering the majority of direct aerial threats.
Tracking aerial targets: 93% success rate
The Jordanian Armed Forces Directorate of Military Media announced in an official statement that Jordanian territory was directly targeted by 85 missiles and drones launched from Iran toward vital sites within the Kingdom. The statement explained that Royal Jordanian Air Force jets intercepted and destroyed 79 of these targets before they reached their intended destinations, while five drones and one missile crashed within Jordanian territory due to the inability to completely intercept them.
The Armed Forces emphasized their continued commitment to their sacred duty of defending the homeland, affirming that they are dedicating their utmost intelligence and field capabilities to maintaining the Kingdom’s security and the safety of its citizens from any external aggression.
Public Security: 93 reports and moderate injuries
On the ground, the media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate stated that Civil Defense and police personnel responded to 93 reports last week, all related to falling foreign objects and debris resulting from aerial interception operations in most of the Kingdom’s governorates.
The spokesperson indicated that Civil Defense ambulance teams treated nine citizens injured in these incidents. The injured were transported to hospitals for treatment, and their conditions were described as moderate. All nine were discharged after their health stabilized.
The Directorate concluded its statement by urging citizens to remain vigilant and responsible when dealing with suspicious objects, immediately reporting them to the relevant authorities, and to avoid spreading rumors given the current circumstances in the region.
