Muscat, Oman – Authorities in the Sultanate of Oman announced the death of two expatriates and injuries to several others after two drones crashed in the Wilayat of Sohar, North Al Batinah Governorate. The incident has caused concern in the area.
Authorities explained that the two drones crashed in close proximity within the Wilayat. The crashes resulted in fatalities among expatriate workers who were in the vicinity. In addition, several people sustained injuries and were transported to hospitals for treatment.
Omani authorities confirmed that security and emergency teams were immediately dispatched to the crash site. The area was secured, and investigations were launched to determine the circumstances of the incident and identify the origin of the two drones.
They indicated that the relevant authorities are closely monitoring developments and have taken the necessary measures to ensure the safety of citizens and residents in the area.
