Amman, Jordan – WAM Jordan condemned, on Tuesday, “in the strongest terms the targeting of the Consulate General of the UAE in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.”
Emphasis on respect for international law
In a statement, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs stressed the need to respect international law and the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and Vienna of 1961 for diplomatic relations.
To ensure the protection of the headquarters of diplomatic missions and their members.
The Ministry also affirmed Jordan’s solidarity and absolute support for the United Arab Emirates.
