Manama, Bahrain – The Kingdom of Bahrain strongly condemned the recent Iranian attacks targeting several sites in the region. It affirmed that these developments represent a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the Middle East. They also exacerbate regional tensions amidst the already strained relations between Iran and several international actors.
In an official statement, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its deep concern regarding the escalating military tensions. It stressed the necessity of halting military actions that could push the region toward further tension and instability.
Bahrain emphasized that the continuation of these attacks and the military escalation would jeopardize the security of international navigation and energy supplies, particularly given the region’s sensitivity and its connection to vital maritime routes upon which the global economy depends.
Manama called on the international community to intensify diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and contain the crisis before it widens into a broader regional conflict.
Bahrain also stressed the importance of dialogue and political solutions as the primary option for addressing regional crises. It affirmed its support for all international initiatives aimed at calming the situation and preserving the security and stability of the region.
The Bahraini position comes at a time when the region is witnessing an unprecedented escalation in military tensions against the backdrop of the confrontation between Iran and Israel. There are growing international warnings about the repercussions of this escalation on Middle Eastern security and global stability.
