Washington, DC – Concerns have escalated within the United States regarding the potential for terrorist and cyber attacks, coinciding with the strikes against Iran. Security officials have warned of unconventional responses that could target the US home front or its vital interests.

US media outlets quoted security officials as saying that relevant agencies have raised their alert levels in anticipation of cyberattacks that could target critical infrastructure, including power grids, communications networks, and financial institutions, as well as the risk of individual actions or sleeper cells exploiting the tense atmosphere.

Security experts have pointed out that the nature of modern conflicts is no longer limited to direct military confrontations, but extends to cyberspace, where widespread disruptions can be carried out without firing a single shot. This has heightened concerns within decision-making circles.

In this context, the Department of Homeland Security emphasized that coordination is underway between federal and state agencies to secure sensitive facilities and monitor any suspicious activities that might indicate an imminent threat, stressing that the situation is being closely monitored.

This security concern comes amid escalating tensions between Washington and Tehran, opening the door to multiple scenarios, ranging from political containment to a slide into broader confrontations that could extend beyond the military field to new, more complex, and dangerous arenas.
