Paris, France – French authorities in the southwest of the country are maintaining the flood warning level as torrential rains that have been battering the region for days intensify. This has led to unprecedented rises in river and lake levels, posing a direct threat to homes and infrastructure.

Local authorities reported that rescue teams are working around the clock to assist affected residents. Some villages and main roads have been evacuated due to the risk of flash floods, while meteorological agencies are warning citizens to stay away from rivers and low-lying areas.

Meteorological reports indicate that the severe weather will continue in the coming days. Experts predict further heavy rainfall that will increase the risk of flooding, prompting the French government to implement emergency plans to minimize damage and ensure public safety.

Authorities have urged residents to follow instructions and avoid traveling on roads prone to flooding. They emphasized that the situation remains critical and requires constant vigilance.
