Amman, Jordan – The Jordanian Armed Forces announced that the Southern Military Region thwarted an infiltration attempt on Thursday by an individual along one of its border areas within its area of responsibility. The army explained that the suspect attempted to cross the border illegally. It also stated that he was dealt with according to the established rules of engagement. He was subsequently apprehended and transferred to the relevant authorities for further legal proceedings.
