Manama, Bahrain – The Deputy Prime Minister of Bahrain affirmed his country’s keenness to propel bilateral relations with the Philippines to broader horizons. He also stressed the importance of developing joint cooperation in various economic, investment, and developmental fields to serve the interests of both countries.

During official meetings with Filipino officials, he explained that Bahrain seeks to strengthen strategic partnerships and expand areas of cooperation, particularly in the trade, investment, energy, and services sectors. Furthermore, Bahrain supports cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two peoples.

He noted that Bahraini-Philippine relations have witnessed remarkable growth in recent years. This growth is supported by the exchange of official visits and ongoing coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

For their part, the Filipino officials expressed their appreciation for the bilateral relations with Bahrain. They also affirmed their desire to enhance economic cooperation and explore new opportunities for investment and joint ventures in light of global economic changes.

Observers believe that these recent diplomatic moves reflect a Gulf trend toward diversifying international partnerships. This also aims to strengthen relations with Asian countries, thereby supporting economic growth opportunities and enhancing their political presence on the international stage.
