Europe – Storms Leonardo and Marta battered several European countries in recent hours, causing traffic chaos and widespread power outages. Damage to homes and infrastructure was also reported. Local authorities declared a state of emergency in multiple regions. Thousands of residents were evacuated from coastal and low-lying areas for their safety.

Strong winds exceeding 120 km/h were recorded. In addition, torrential rain and flash floods lashed France, Italy, and Germany, uprooting trees and flooding main streets in major cities.

European officials urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and follow safety instructions. Warnings were issued that the storms could persist for days, with the potential for further damage in the affected areas.
