Kyiv, Ukraine – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that rescue and repair operations are continuing at the sites of the Russian airstrikes, where the security situation allows. This follows a large-scale attack launched by Russia last night, involving more than 400 drones and approximately 40 missiles of various types. The strikes targeted the power grid, including power generation plants and substations. Damage was reported in the Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, and Rivne regions, where a residential building was damaged. Drones also targeted the administrative building of a regular agricultural college in Ladygin, Vinnytsia region. Additionally, airstrikes occurred in the Kyiv and Kharkiv regions, with air defenses engaging some of the incoming attacks.
Zelenskyy asserted that Russia could choose genuine diplomacy every day, yet it continues its aggression. He emphasized the need for all those supporting the trilateral negotiations to respond to this behavior and prevent Moscow from using the cold as leverage against Ukraine. He added that this requires supplying Ukraine with Patriot missile systems, NASAMs, and other systems. He explained that every shipment helps the country get through the winter. The Ukrainian president concluded by thanking all partners who understand the situation and offer sincere support.
