Algeria – The Algerian Minister of Trade affirmed that supporting the Palestinian cause remains a steadfast priority in Algerian policy, emphasizing the need to strengthen Arab economic and trade integration to confront escalating regional and international challenges. This comes amidst rapid economic transformations and successive crises worldwide.

In official statements, the Minister explained that the current phase necessitates greater Arab coordination. This includes, in particular, the areas of intra-Arab trade, supply chains, and food security. He asserted that Arab economic integration is no longer merely a political option but a strategic imperative for safeguarding national economies and enhancing competitiveness in global markets.

He noted that Algeria supports joint initiatives that facilitate the movement of goods and investments among Arab countries. He pointed out that unifying economic efforts can create a strong Arab market capable of withstanding international fluctuations and reducing dependence on foreign sources.

The minister affirmed that Algeria’s position on Palestine is unwavering. He also called on the international community to shoulder its humanitarian and political responsibilities and work to support the Palestinian people and enhance stability in the region.

These statements come at a time of intense political and economic activity in the region. This comes amidst growing calls to revive Arab integration projects and transform them from slogans into concrete steps on the ground.
