Islamabad, Pakistan – The Pakistani military announced the conclusion of a large-scale security operation in Balochistan province. The operation resulted in the deaths of 216 militants, including senior leaders involved in terrorist and subversive activities. This operation is the largest of its kind in the province in recent years. The military command confirmed that the operation involved close coordination between ground and air forces. It also relied on precise intelligence regarding the movements of armed groups that threaten stability and security in the province. It is worth noting that the province has suffered for years from the activities of armed groups, separatist organizations, and terrorist groups.

The military stated that the operation also resulted in the seizure of large quantities of weapons, ammunition, and explosives. This represents a significant blow to armed groups that target civilians and vital infrastructure. The military spokesperson indicated that the operation was part of a long-term strategy to secure border and remote areas. It also aims to protect civilians and dismantle armed networks. These networks attempt to exploit the fragile security situation for political and military gains.

Civil authorities and local bodies welcomed the operation. This was considered a crucial step towards strengthening security in Balochistan, a region rich in natural resources. The region has long been a hotbed of tensions and armed conflict. The Pakistani government affirmed that security operations would continue to ensure that armed elements do not return. Officials also pledged to ensure that stability is restored to the affected areas. Furthermore, cooperation between the army, police, and local communities will be enhanced. This will ensure the monitoring of militant groups’ movements and combat terrorism more effectively.
