Kuwait – In the State of Kuwait, an Emiri decree was issued ordering a cabinet reshuffle in the government of Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah,
which included the appointment of seven new ministers in a number of sovereign and service portfolios.
According to the decree, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs,
and Yaqoub Yousef Al-Sayed Hashem Al-Rifai was appointed Minister of Finance.
Osama Khalid Abdullah Boodai was appointed Minister of Trade and Industry,
in addition to the appointment of Reem Ghazi Saud Al-Faleej
as Minister of State for Development and Sustainability Affairs.
Kuwait …and keeping pace with the requirements
The reshuffle also included the appointment of Tariq Hamad Nasser Al-Jalahma as Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs.
Abdul Aziz Nasser Abdul Aziz Al Marzouq is the Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment,
and Abdullah Subaih Abdullah Buftain is the Minister of Information and Culture.
As part of the same amendment, the decree amended the appointment of Omar Saud Abdulaziz Al-Omar
to become Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology.
This amendment comes as part of the government’s efforts to enhance executive performance
and keep pace with the requirements of the next stage, in order to contribute to advancing reform and development in the country.
