Washington, DC – US President Donald Trump announced the deployment of a large naval fleet toward Iran, amid escalating military tensions in the Middle East. The president wrote on his official Truth Social account that a large naval fleet, led by the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, was en route to Iranian waters. He emphasized that the force was moving “quickly, strongly, resolutely, and with a great purpose.” Trump stated, “This fleet, larger than the one previously sent to Venezuela, is ready, willing, and able to execute its mission swiftly and, if necessary, forcefully.”

The US president stressed the need to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. He added, “I hope Iran will come to the negotiating table as soon as possible and negotiate a fair agreement, free of nuclear weapons, that is in the interest of all parties… Time is running out, and the matter is extremely urgent.” Trump also referred to a previous attack, saying, “As I once told Iran: ‘We have a deal!’ But they didn’t, and the result was Operation Midnight Hammer; the massive destruction inflicted on Iran. The next attack will be much worse! Don’t let this happen again.” This statement comes at a time of escalating tensions in the Middle East due to the Iranian nuclear program and the deployment of US forces in the region. Therefore, concerns are growing about a potential escalation between Washington and Tehran.
