Kuwait – Kuwaiti social media influencer Yaqoub Boushehri broke his silence to categorically deny reports circulating about him being banned from traveling or released on bail. He asserted that all such reports were “baseless rumors.”
Evidence of innocence from the “Justice” website
In a practical step to prove his position, Bushahri appeared on his official Snapchat account in a live video, during which he:
Access the official website of the Kuwaiti Ministry of Justice.
Review of the Judicial Inquiry Services Department in front of the camera.
Show that his record is free of any current travel bans or legal restrictions.
Demands for the Ministry of Information
Bushahri didn’t stop at simply denying the allegations; he explicitly called on the Kuwaiti Ministry of Information to fulfill its role in verifying information. He also demanded that the ministry pursue accounts and platforms that publish false news without verification and take legal action against those spreading rumors that damage individuals’ personal and professional reputations. Yaqoub Bushahri added, “May God forgive those who slandered me, and thank you to those who inquired about me.”
Context of the crisis
This clarification comes after a wave of speculation linking Yaqoub Boushehri and Dr. Khulood to legal cases related to suspected money laundering. This news caused a widespread uproar on digital platforms in recent hours. However, Boushehri refuted these claims with digital evidence. He also reassured his fans with a spontaneous appearance alongside his son, Khaled, sending a subtle message indicating the stability of his family and legal situation, far removed from the clamor of rumors.
