Mukalla, Yemen – The security committee in Hadramawt Governorate held an extraordinary meeting on Wednesday, chaired by the committee’s vice chairman, Major General Talib Saeed Barjash, commander of the Second Military Region.
With the attendance of high-ranking security and intelligence leaders, to discuss security developments
and coordinate efforts to protect stability with the arrival of the new year.
Maximum readiness and protection of gains
The meeting, which was attended by Major General Abdul Qader Barbid,
head of the Political Security Service, discussed
Brigadier General Mutie Al-Manhali, Director of Security for the Hadhramaut Coast,
discussed ways to enhance public tranquility.
The committee stressed the need to take all necessary measures to prevent any irregularities.
She stressed that anyone who tries to compromise the security of the governorate
or encroach on public and private property will be dealt with firmly.
Messages of reassurance to citizens
In a statement reassuring the people of Hadramawt, Major General Talib Barjash
affirmed that “the security situation is completely stable.”
He noted that the military and security services are in
a state of high readiness to deal with any emergency.

He called on them to continue close cooperation with the Hadrami elite forces
and to report any suspicious movements.

The deputy head of the security committee warned against being misled by false news,
stressing that security agencies will pursue legal action.

On the domestic front, Major General Barjash reiterated his commitment to continuing
