Damascus, Syria – The Syrian Presidency denied reports circulating about heavy gunfire or clashes in the vicinity of the Presidential Palace in Damascus. It asserted that such reports are baseless rumors.

The presidency stated in an official statement that the capital is experiencing complete security stability. Furthermore, security measures around government buildings are proceeding as normal, with no exceptional incidents reported.

She added that circulating such news is part of a systematic attempt to sow anxiety among citizens. These attempts exploit the rapid spread of unverified information through social media.

Official authorities also called on media outlets and digital platform users to adhere to professional standards. Accuracy must be verified, and reliance must be placed on credible sources before publishing any information related to security matters.

This denial comes amid regional anticipation. Damascus repeatedly asserts that the internal situation is stable and that institutions are functioning normally without any signs of security tensions.
