Moscow, Russia – The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the current impasse in dialogue with the European Union will not last indefinitely. It indicated that communication channels could be resumed if more favorable political conditions arise.

The Russian Foreign Ministry stressed that closing the doors to dialogue is not in anyone’s interest. It maintained that diplomatic communication remains essential for managing disagreements and reducing the likelihood of escalation, even during times of heightened tension.

She indicated that Moscow still believes a return to dialogue is only a matter of time, noting that international developments may create a new reality that compels both sides to reopen channels of communication on different foundations.
