Rabat, Morocco – The Ivory Coast national team succeeded in achieving a victory over its Mozambican counterpart by one goal to nil, in the match that brought them together on Wednesday evening, as part of the competitions of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Ivory Coast national team met Mozambique at the Marrakech Stadium, as part of the first round of the Africa Cup of Nations.

The match was marked by caution from both teams in the opening minutes, with no real danger appearing until the 26th minute.

Yann Diomande fired a powerful shot towards the goal of the Mozambican national team in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper easily saved the ball.

Amad Diallo, the Ivory Coast player, succeeded in shaking the net of Mozambique in the 50th minute, after a shot from inside the penalty area that settled in the net.

Afterwards, the Mozambique team tried to score an equalizer, but they were met with a strong defense from the Elephants.

With that result, Ivory Coast earned their first three points in Group F, while Mozambique remained without points.
