Moscow, Russia – A Russian parliamentarian stated that NATO is seeking to fabricate pretexts for intervention in the Ukrainian crisis. He warned that such actions could lead to a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the region.
The deputy explained, in statements carried by media outlets, that Moscow views NATO’s increased activities as an indication of escalatory intentions. He asserted that the alliance is using security and political pretexts to expand its intervention and influence in the conflict.
He added that Russia is closely monitoring NATO’s movements around Ukraine. He affirmed that any direct intervention would be met with appropriate measures. He stressed that political and diplomatic solutions remain the best way to avoid further escalation.
