Washington, DC – Tensions have escalated between Democrats and the administration of President Donald Trump following the release of a portion of the files related to the case of American millionaire Jeffrey Epstein. Lawmakers have denounced the release as an attempt to suppress sensitive information.

The Justice Department released thousands of pages and images related to the case. However, it redacted or altered documents that Democrats deemed essential to understanding the extent of Epstein’s network. This included the names of potentially influential figures.

Democratic Representative Jaime Raskin described what happened as a “deliberate cover-up.” He also warned that the lack of full disclosure undermines transparency and raises suspicions about the involvement of certain officials in the matter.

In contrast, the Trump administration defended the partial release of the files. It asserted that some documents were withheld to protect victims and prevent the misuse of information. However, it maintained that the remaining files were still under review before being fully released.

The controversy surrounding these files has brought renewed attention to the networks of political and social influence linked to Epstein. Democrats continue to push for a comprehensive investigation and the release of all documents without exception.
