Kyiv, Ukraine – Ukraine and France discussed ways to expand military cooperation between the two countries, focusing on strengthening Ukraine’s air defense capabilities in light of escalating security challenges. The talks took place during official meetings that addressed mechanisms for technical and logistical support, as well as the exchange of expertise in the areas of armaments and training.
Both sides emphasized the importance of developing air defense systems to protect critical infrastructure and Ukrainian cities. They also discussed opportunities to supply Kyiv with advanced military equipment and support maintenance and modernization programs for existing defense capabilities.
The talks also addressed expanding cooperation in military training and enhancing the readiness of Ukrainian forces through joint programs. In addition, intelligence coordination and information sharing related to regional security were strengthened.
For its part, France emphasized its commitment to continuing to support Ukraine in maintaining its security and sovereignty. It affirmed that defense cooperation between the two countries is part of international efforts aimed at strengthening stability and security in the region.
This move comes at a time when air defense is a top priority for Kyiv, as it seeks to strengthen its military capabilities and address current challenges on the ground.
