Doha, Qatar – FIFA has officially announced the cancellation of the third-place match in the Arab Cup Qatar 2025, which was to be played between the UAE and Saudi Arabia, after it was suspended and not completed due to weather conditions.
The committee overseeing the Arab Cup decided to adopt the result of the goalless draw (0-0) for the match, and to award third place jointly to both teams.
It was also decided to combine the financial rewards allocated for third and fourth place and distribute the total amount equally between the Emirati and Saudi teams.
The stadium announcer at Khalifa International Stadium in Qatar announced the cancellation of the third-place match in the Arab Cup between Saudi Arabia and the UAE, after it was suspended due to heavy rain.
The coaching staff and players of both the UAE and Saudi Arabia national teams left the stadium after the match was officially cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
The UAE national team lost to Morocco 3-0 in the semi-final match, while Saudi Arabia lost to Jordan 1-0, meaning the two teams will now play each other for third place in the Arab Cup.
