Washington, United States – US military sources announced today that five people were killed after two suspicious boats were targeted in the Pacific Ocean, as part of operations to combat smuggling and illegal maritime activities.

Sources indicated that the two boats were suspected of involvement in illegal activities, prompting US forces to take precise military action that resulted in their sinking and the deaths of their occupants. No official statement has yet been released regarding the identities or nationalities of the victims.

This move comes as part of a series of US operations to monitor international waters and protect vital sea lanes from smuggling and illegal immigration, as the region is one of the important strategic points on global shipping lanes.

US authorities confirmed the continuation of maritime surveillance in the Pacific Ocean, while emphasizing that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure the safety of navigation and enforce international law.
