Islamabad, Pakistan – Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, affirmed on Saturday that the Pakistani military is fully focused on the challenges facing the country both domestically and internationally. He also emphasized the need to counter “hybrid hostile campaigns and extremist ideologies.”
Munir’s remarks came during his visit to the garrisons of Sialkot and Gujranwala.
Combat readiness and security challenges
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations Department (ISPR), Field Marshal Munir was briefed during the visit on “the operational readiness of the formation. He was also briefed on key initiatives to enhance combat readiness.”
The commander of the field defense forces witnessed field exercises and an advanced training facility, praising the high professional standards and the overall readiness of the formations.
The Chief of Defence Staff affirmed that the Pakistani military remains fully focused on addressing internal and external challenges, including countering hostile hybrid campaigns and extremist ideologies.

Field Marshal Mounir stressed the importance of technological adaptability in the context of modern warfare, explaining that: “Modern warfare requires agility, precision, situational awareness, and rapid decision-making.”
