Tel Aviv, Israel – Messages and images circulating on social media platforms have sparked widespread controversy within Israel, after they contained content that officials considered “direct incitement to violence.”

This is precisely what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is doing, prompting the ruling party to take legal action.

The Likud party, led by the prime minister, announced that it had filed a formal lawsuit against entities it accused of standing

Behind the publication of content containing phrases and images that threaten Netanyahu’s safety and call for his assassination,

He considered that what happened went beyond the limits of political disagreement and represented a threat to public security.

The party asserted in an official statement that these materials encourage political violence and violate applicable laws.

He stressed the need to hold those responsible accountable and to prevent such practices from being repeated.

For its part, the relevant judicial authorities began examining the complaint.

Amid official calls for stricter control over online incitement content,

And to protect public figures from any threats to their lives.

This development comes amid escalating political divisions within Israel.

There are growing fears that political disputes could escalate into acts of violence on the ground in the coming period.
