Islamabad, Pakistan – The Pakistani and Chinese armed forces began a large-scale military exercise today, codenamed “Warrior 9.” This comes as part of the two countries’ efforts to develop their joint capabilities and deepen defense coordination.
Pakistani military sources stated that the exercises include advanced field operations and drills simulating various combat scenarios. The aim is to enhance readiness and strengthen the ability to conduct joint missions in challenging environments.
The military command in Islamabad indicated that the exercise is part of an ongoing defense cooperation program between the two sides. It emphasized that this iteration “focuses particularly on exchanging expertise in counterterrorism and special forces operations.”
For its part, Beijing affirmed that the exercise represents a new step in the strategic partnership. It emphasized the importance of strengthening military cooperation to serve regional security and stability.
