Damascus, Syria – The Syrian Ministry of Interior announced in an official statement the lifting of travel bans on more than 150,000 citizens who were previously on no-fly lists. The ministry explained that this measure aims to facilitate the movement of citizens and enable them to exercise their legal right to travel. This will be done while maintaining the application of legal procedures in cases that warrant it.
The statement indicated that the lifting of restrictions applies to various age groups and professions. The decision emphasized the government’s commitment to facilitating the movement of citizens and reducing bureaucratic procedures, all while safeguarding national security.
The Ministry of Interior also affirmed its continued monitoring of all matters related to travel and movement to ensure compliance with the law. It emphasized that anyone violating the law will be held legally accountable. This ensures a balance between individual rights and the requirements of public security.
