Islamabad, Pakistan – Pakistan and Iran held their thirteenth round of bilateral political consultations in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, on Monday.
This is part of joint efforts to enhance diplomatic coordination and push relations between the two sides to broader levels.
The Pakistani side was headed by Foreign Secretary Amina Baloch, while the Iranian delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi.
The meetings came as a continuation of the regular dialogues between the two countries, aimed at reviewing joint files and expanding areas of cooperation.
Reviewing relations and promoting trade
The two sides discussed at length the developments in bilateral relations, stressing their keenness to strengthen the partnership in trade, energy and regional connectivity projects.

This is in light of the common challenges facing the region, especially with regard to borders and cross-border trade.
