Cairo, Egypt – Egyptian preacher Hussein Mutawa said that Hamas’s announcement that it had stolen donation money collected by an entity affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood’s Türkiye branch is nothing new for the group.
He pointed out that it has been the habit of the Muslim Brotherhood
since its inception to exploit any humanitarian or political crisis that occurs in any Islamic country.
The Palestinian issue is at the top of those major crises that the group trades
on at all levels, especially the material and economic level.
The group is exploiting the events
He explained that the amount that Hamas announced was from the entity called Waqf al-Ummah,
which amounted to about half a billion pounds, is only what was discovered.
He pointed out that he expects the amount to be many times greater than this,
especially since the event is large and huge, and the Brotherhood media
machine has worked hard on this matter.
How much money from donations did the Muslim Brotherhood acquire during
that long period up to the present, given the numerous events
and disasters that befell the Islamic world during that time
The group was collecting donations from citizens throughout the Islamic world in its name.
Humanity in Gaza
Hamas had previously issued an official internal statement accusing those
in charge of the “Waqf al-Ummah” association of stealing donation funds.
And the failure to deliver it to the people of Gaza for the purpose
of establishing the announced development and humanitarian projects.
After tracing the paths of the funds and placing them in private investments
and assets owned by certain individuals associated with the organization.
During the past week, the statement was circulated by activists
and members affiliated with Hamas on social media platforms.
This is intended to warn against the association exploiting the humanitarian crisis
in Gaza and continuing to raise funds.
Which were spent and ultimately divided among those in charge of the association,
This is in light of the expansion of its activities within the Arab region and European countries.
