The Philippines – The death toll from Typhoon Tino, which devastated large parts of the Philippines, has risen to 26, authorities announced Tuesday.

The cyclone triggered landslides and power outages. It also destroyed hundreds of homes. Rescue teams are continuing their efforts to find the missing and evacuate thousands of residents from the affected areas.

The Philippine weather bureau also warned of the possibility of renewed heavy rain in the coming hours. This could increase the number of casualties and material losses.
