Tel Aviv, Israel – Hebrew media outlets reported that the bodies Hamas handed over to Israel yesterday were not those of Israeli prisoners. The reports stated that the International Committee of the Red Cross delivered the remains of three bodies to the Israeli army. These remains were transferred to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for examination to determine their identities.
According to sources, it remains unclear whether the remains belong to any of the 11 Israeli captives still being held in the Gaza Strip. Israeli Channel 13 reported that Hamas informed the Red Cross that it did not know the identities of the bodies but suggested that Israel conduct an examination to confirm their identities.
This development comes at a sensitive time, as the fate of the Israeli captives in Gaza remains a matter of great concern. It occurs amidst ongoing efforts by relevant parties to obtain accurate information about them.
