Beijing, China – A recent report has revealed a significant decline in the popularity of artificial intelligence (AI) applications in China. Approximately 60% of these apps have lost a substantial number of users in recent months. This suggests the beginning of a “saturation” phase in the domestic market.
The report indicated that the initial wave of enthusiasm for using artificial intelligence applications, such as chatbots and image generation platforms, has begun to wane. This comes after competition reached its peak and the market became saturated with dozens of similar applications.
Technology experts believe that Chinese users are now looking for quality and innovation, not quantity. They also assert that the next phase will see only a few apps capable of providing genuine value and more specialized services.
This decline coincided with official calls in Beijing to further regulate the sector and ensure the safe and responsible use of artificial intelligence technologies.
