Cairo, Egypt – Dibba SC announced on Monday the departure of Portuguese coach Bruno Pereira from his role as coach of the first football team. This came after the team’s recent poor results in the UAE Pro League.

In an official statement on its X account, Dibba Club said: “With all appreciation and gratitude, Dibba Club extends its thanks to coach Bruno Pereira for his great efforts and dedicated contributions. This was during his tenure as technical director of the team, which witnessed promotion to the ADNOC Professional League. He achieved many unforgettable moments in the journey of the captains.”

He added, “You have given so much with your hard work and determination, and you have been part of a beautiful history that will remain etched in the memory of the club and its fans.”

The club concluded its statement by thanking the coach, saying, “We wish you success in your future endeavors. You will always remain a member of the Al-Nawakhtha family.”

⚓… pic.twitter.com/YGLp8GpoFo

This comes after a series of negative results for Dibba in the UAE League. They have yet to achieve a victory, suffering five defeats and a single draw, placing them second to last in the standings.

Pereira took over the leadership of “Al-Nawakhtha” last March, succeeding coach Mohammed Obaid Al-Khadim.

The 43-year-old Portuguese coach successfully led Dibba to promotion to the ADNOC Professional League. Additionally, the team qualified for the quarterfinals of the President’s Cup.
