London, UK– The son of Lindsay Foreman, a British citizen detained in Iran, has announced that his mother, Craig Foreman, has been transferred from Karaj Women’s Prison to Evin Prison.

This came according to statements reported by the British Sky News network.

Lindsey and his wife Craig were arrested last February in Kerman on charges of espionage, which the couple denied.

After Craig and Lindsay Forman were initially detained in Barkerman Prison, they were transferred to separate prisons in August, with Craig Forman being placed in Qarjak Prison.

Reports last week sparked widespread concern, stating that three female prisoners in Qarjak had died as a result of being denied medical treatment.

In addition, 19 female prisoners went on strike to protest harsh detention conditions.

Joe Bennett, Lindsey Forman’s son, emphasized that his mother’s transfer to Evin Prison last Thursday does not mean complete safety.

He pointed out that Evin Prison is among the worst prisons in the world in terms of its human rights reputation.

It is worth mentioning that the couple, both aged 52, are expected to receive their sentence in the coming days.

This comes after they appeared before the Iranian court on October 25.
