Cairo, Egypt – Actor Mohamed Imam will resume filming his new movie “Shams El Zanaty” in the coming hours, inside the set at the Pyramids area designated for the film’s events, amidst intensified working hours to complete the remaining scenes.
Intensify filming to finish ahead of schedule
Director Ahmed Khaled Moussa is striving to finish filming as soon as possible, especially since nearly half of the scenes were completed before Ramadan, which is prompting the crew to accelerate the pace of filming during this period.
A story inspired by the movie The Boss
The film is inspired by the famous film “Shams El Zanaty” starring Adel Imam in 1991, but the new version takes place 15 years before the original story, revealing the early beginnings of the formation of the Zanaty gang, in a dramatic and suspenseful framework.

The film stars Mohamed Imam, Bassem Samra, Mahmoud Abdel-Moghni, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Amr Abdel-Galil, Mohamed Tharwat, Khaled Anwar, Hana El Zahed, Mustafa Gharib, Ahmed Abdel-Hamid, and Sarah Baraka. It is written by Mohamed El-Dabbah.

Mohamed Imam achieved remarkable success in the 2026 Ramadan season with the series “The King,” which also starred Hanan Motawie, Mirna Gamil, Kamal Abu Raya, Sami Maghawry, Hajjaj Abdel Azim, Intisar, Mustafa Khater, and Basant Shawky. It was written by Mohamed Salah El-Azab, directed by Sherine Adel, and produced by Abdullah Abu El-Fotouh.
