Washington, USA – The science fiction thriller Project Hail Mary made an exceptional start at the global box office, grossing $141 million in its opening weekend and topping the worldwide box office charts with a new record.

The film topped the box office in more than 60 countries, with the UK and Ireland leading the markets with revenues of $10.2 million, including pre-opening screenings.
The film achieved remarkable results in China with revenues of $7.1 million, in addition to its notable presence in Australia, South Korea, Germany, and Mexico, while IMAX screens contributed approximately $27.6 million, or nearly 20% of the total revenue.
