Tunis – Grief has enveloped the Tunisian and Arab artistic community today, Thursday, November 27, 2025, with the announcement of the death of the young artist Bushra Muhammad, who passed away this morning due to complications from cancer. She had been battling the disease for approximately a year and a half (18 months).

The news was announced by Maher Hammami, head of the Tunisian Musicians’ Syndicate, on his official Facebook page. He wrote: “With patient and resigned hearts, we received the news of the passing of the artist Bushra Muhammad. May God accept her into His vast mercy.” Hammami offered the syndicate’s heartfelt condolences to her family, praying that God grant them patience and solace.

Health deterioration at Saleh Aziz Hospital

Bushra Mohammed passed away at Saleh Aziz Hospital in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, after a sharp decline in her health in recent days. The artist had been admitted to the hospital for treatment, but the illness she contracted proved too much for her. This led to her untimely death, leaving her colleagues and fans in shock.

Reports indicate that the late artist demonstrated remarkable dedication to her art. She continued her artistic activities in the period leading up to the recent health crisis, despite the challenges.

A young artist’s career that combined singing and acting

Bushra Muhammad was an emerging artistic voice combining singing and acting, and she began her career in recent years through theater and television drama. She became famous for her diverse roles that combined tragedy and comedy, and succeeded in building a wide fan base within Tunisia.
