Cairo, Egypt-After more than ten years of retirement and staying away from the art scene, Egyptian artist Manal Abdel Latif has returned to the forefront of public attention once again.
This comes after her recent appearance without a hijab for the first time since 2012,
in a video that was widely circulated on social media.

She appeared smiling and with calm features, in a scene that surprised
her audience who were not used to seeing her without a hijab since she announced her retirement.

with comments varying between those who considered removing the hijab
a personal decision reflecting an internal conviction,
Some believe that the move may be a prelude to her return to acting after years of absence.
The artist has not issued any official statement to clarify her position or her future artistic intentions.
Manal Abdel Latif is considered one of the most prominent stars of Egyptian drama in the nineties.
She started her career as a child in the program “The Little Parliament”,
then director Mahmoud Ibrahim introduced her in the series “Bunduq and Bunduqah”.
